Nice History!
If you enjoy local history you will love this place. Its a great place to spend some time and you may learn something you did not know.
My First Visit!
About a year ago I visited the Galveston County Courthouse to renew my voter's registration and stopped by the Galveston County Museum on my way out. I was fascinated by the depth of history that the museum had to offer and immediately asked the curator how I could help. Volunteering at the museum has been unpredictable and interesting in the best way. I am getting to preserve so much history for future visitors I won't even get to meet and it's an indescribable feeling.
Free!
It's free and there is free covered parking next door. What could be better? It's somewhat small but they have it tastefully arranged. Well worth a visit. Allow 30-45 minutes
